Titanium Pedals

NOTE THIS PRODUCT IS IN THE FINAL STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT

DUE TO BE RELEASED LATE 2024/EARLY 2025

They say engineers shouldn't be in marketing, and they are probably right! No outrageous claims, no hyperbolic statements, just facts! I did give these titanium products a fancy name though, the Wraith Series.

Featuring a Ti6Al4V precision vacuum investment cast body and Ti6Al4V machined spindle, the Wraith Series Titanium Flat Pedals are a passion project like no other in the MTB industry. Designed with rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) studies, infield and lab testing, these pedal are built to outlast your bike.

The body features a wide 105 x 105mm platform and narrow 9mm frontal depth. The unique "batwing" shape was the result of many design iterations to find the right stiffness to mass ratio and suits a majority of riders and riding styles.

The spindle has been designed specifically to take advantage of Ti6Al4V's material properties, while overcoming titanium's other challenging aspects. The spindle features an oversized 14mm main journal to increase stiffness and smoothly necks down to a wide, smaller outboard journal.

The bushes are Delrin AF100 PTFE impregnated engineering plastic, offering low maintainence, high abrasive resistance, low noise and smooth riding.

The whole spindle assembly is a cartridge style design, retained with a novel threaded bush concept, allowing quick, easy assembly and disassembly. Each bush is retained with M2400 series snap rings and a simple captive O-ring design provides a small amount of preload to prevent aggressive free spinning in the event of foot departure while providing excellent sealing.

The custom pointed M4 titanium pins, 18 in total, are adjustable and reversible, they can be set to be concave, convex or flat with 3mm of variation, to suit every riders preference. Spiky, not spiky, the choice is yours. Each pin is preapplied with locking patches.

All these features come in at 224grams a set
